Silver Moon Seniors Wellbeing Retreat have two goals in mind. Enhanced Health and Sustained Happiness.

 

HEALTH & HAPPINESS

Before 50 Mantra is Fitness and Achievement. Happiness is there but conditional

 

After 50 focus must be on Being Healthy and internally Happy.

​

Flexibility and Fluidity more than sheer strength, 

Balance is more important than speed. The  primary motivator must be happiness rather than desire to achieve. 

 

There is a need to shift to an exercise regimen that is less taxing and more sustainable, even when one is not well. 

 

We believe that each body is unique and each person has to believe that health is in their own hands and find their own unique solutions.

Our approach is to help develop personal health plans through

Age Friendly Yoga, Ayurveda, Naturopathy and QiGong.

Through Games, Cross brain training, NLP, Art Therapy, Dance Therapy etc., we help participants find their own sources of happiness that is sustainable.

Silver Moon Wellbeing Retreat: General Daily Schedule

 

Schedule for Day 1

1400 – 1700 hrs. : Reporting in the evening. Tea, Check in and introductions to program, icebreakers

1800 – 1900 hrs.: Introduction to Chanting.

1900 – 2000 hrs.: Story Sharing.

2000 – 2030.: Dinner and bed

 

Schedule for Days - 2, 3, 5, 7

 

0630 - 0800 hrs.: Senior Friendly Gentle Yoga / Qigong

0800 - 1000 hrs.: Breakfast and Personal Break

1000 - 1300 hrs.: Personal Consultations / Therapy / Massage/ Crafts / Music / Dancing

1300 - 1500 hrs.: Lunch and Personal Break

1500 - 1700 hrs.: Cross Brain Activities and Games for memory and coordination

1700 - 1830 hrs.: Tea and Personal Break

1830 - 1930 hrs.: Chanting

1930 - 2000 hrs.: Dinner

2030 - 2100 hrs.: Personal Story time

2100.: Bed

 

Schedule for Days 4 and 6

0630 - 0800 hrs.: Yoga / Qigong

0800 - 0900 hrs.: Breakfast and Personal Break

0900 hrs.: Depart for Picnic to Nilgiris / Isha

0930 - 1800 hrs.: Picnic / Excursion Location

1930 - 2000 hrs.: Dinner

Day 7 : Moonlit Dinner  with games.

 

Day 8 

0630 - 1100 hrs.: Tea, Breakfast, Saying Byes and Departures

 

Note:

  • Activities are designed for seniors but it is responsibility of participant to keep organizers informed of any health conditions and discomforts.

  • Some activities and therapies are subject to weather cooperation

  • Picnics are optional and charged additionally

  • Appropriate Clothing responsibility of participant.

Melur Meadows Retirement Village offers

a range of Studio, 1 BHK and

2 BHK Accommodation.

​

For this Retreat we have arranged for

fully furnished Studio Units with and

without AC.  Rooms are generally on

twin Sharing but single accommodation

can also be booked

Our Team

​

Major Sathya:  An Ex Army Office with 30 Years of experience especially in the training field, has over 10 years of experience in building and managing a retirement village.  He brings his expertise in Experiential Programs as well as  NLP, Qigong and other behavioural sciences to bring positive change.

​

Dr K Babu: An Ayurveda Teacher and Practitioner with more than 2 decades of experience he is also a keen proponent of Naturopathy and Varma therapy.

​

Ms Nalini:  A Chartered Accountant who gave up practice to take to Yoga. She is a certified Yoga teacher from the Prestigious Krishnamachari Yoga Mandram in Chennai. She will be sharing senior friendly yoga and asanas for specific ailments as well as chanting.
